did the East Side Club, Philly gig from 1983 ever surface?

Have you established a good reputation at HL and got some Sisters stuff to sell or trade with the community? Or are you searching for that elusive ultra rare live bootleg from 1988? Ever had a bad experience with a trader on Ebay? Let us all know here. Outdated threads will be purged over time.

Does anybody know whether that gig at L'Ancienne Belgique really took place ... ...

And how about the one at Brixton Ace on 19.06.1983? The Wiki gives the 21.06 as the date ...

17.04.1983 - Plan K, Brussels is not listed, either ...

lachert wrote:on my guru maharaja, christer andersson, site.
alsow these dates, which are not in wiki too:

10.02.1983 Brixton Ace, London, England
04.03.1983 Warehouse, Liverpool, England
21.03.1983 L'ancien, Brussels, Belgium
17.04.1983 Plan K, Brussels, Belgium
19.06.1983 Brixton Ace, London, England
17.08.1983 Plan K, Brussels, Belgium
No idea on the Ancienne one. It looks wrong to me and I'd want to see some evidence before I believed it.

As for Brixton, there's loads of wrong Brixton dates caused by people putting wrong dates on the bootlegs. I'd say 19.6.83 is one of those misdated boots (probably 19.2.83).
Looking at the wiki I've also never heard of a gig on 10.2.83, it's probably a misdated 19.2.83.
I've also seen the 19.2.83 listed as 10.3.83 & 17.3.83, so I'd be dubious of those 2 dates too.
Wiki lists a gig on 17.3.83 but I always thought 10.3.83 was the correct date but I can't remember why I thought that. Is there any evidence of either 10 or 17.3.83 I wonder?

Halloween in Arkham is one of the wrongly dated boots. It's an incomplete recording(has the first 4 songs missing) of 19.2.83.

I wonder ... 17.3 has an identical setlist, while 19.2. clearly has another order of songs. Sister Ray is also not listed there ...

In addition, Carmina Burana does also give 17.3 as the date for the recording ...

But how did you get to your conclusion? From audience recordings with complete gigs?
Perhaps one can hear it? I don't know as I don't have anything but Halloween rips ... ...

Anyway, for 1983 the Wiki lists gigs at Brixton Ace on: 10.02. / 19.02 / 17.03 / 06.04 / 21.06 and 29.06.

The 17.3 wiki page is the setlist of Halloween In Arkham, so the last 5 songs don't even belong there, and none of it belongs there because the first 6 songs are 19.2.83.

The 19.2 wiki page is the setlist for the 29.6.83 gig.

19.2.83 exists as an audience recording with setlist...
Kiss the carpet, Floorshow, Watch, Adrenochrome, Alice, Valentine, Anaconda, Body Electric, 1969, Sister Ray.

In addition the last 6 songs also exist in much better quality (mixing desk), Halloween In Arkham being one version.

29.6.83 exists as 2 versions, a complete audience recording and a video with some songs missing/incomplete.

No matter, maybe one day when you find pleasure in it again ... :D ...

Anyway, now with that Megaupload and SOPA/PIPA stuff it looks like a few things might reverse to the last century ... ...

Looks good, except your "setlist from the Italian life book" for 17 March is the tracklist for Halloween In Arkham with Jolene bunged on the end, the setlist looks wrong for a gig, and Poison Door was never performed live and in March'83 it hadn't even been written yet!

oh yes ... ... that's why I wrote about the inaccuracy of that book. I have a copy and that's in fact the setlist given there ...
But I'm sure, you're right. So I will also mention that Poison Door did not even exist at that time ... ...

If only anyone knew whether that gig took place at all, and when ...
in a way, if there are so many sources claiming that day for the origin of their recordings and stuff,
this definitely supports the idea that there actually was a gig ... hell, sigh ...

so, now ... http://sisterswiki.org/Thu,_17-Mar-1983#Setlist
