Album Stream:Mark Lanegan Band's: Blue Funeral

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I am very excited for this record. I've been listening to the Gravedigger's Song single for the last few days (prior to the triumphant return of laughing Lenny).

I can't wait to get the album! A real one, on shiny black vinyl of course

I did listen to a streamed version this morning because I had to, but I want more...

If the home situation allows it, I'll be at his gig in Antwerp in a few weeks time. Yay!

On first listen (I avoided the streaming preview), on my way to work in the pre-dawn hours: meh.

I've now just begun my third listen through of the album. It's quite fantastic! If it doesn't do it for you, give it a few more listens.

Meant to be something of a classic.

It just keeps getting better and better.

Got it today. Gonna be playing this for a looooong time...

Also good to see his collaboration with Aldo is still going strong, so the belgian connection is kept. He used to work in one of the oldest record stores of Antwerp, sadly closed its doors a few years ago.

For me mister Lanegan is one of the most consistent artists around nowadays. And what a voice! 8) :notworthy:
