Like I said, it's the same chord scheme (e-d-a if I recall correctly). And when you play GM, it's really easy to see how A.E. came up with the riff for TOL.
As a guitar player: it's a LOT easier to play GM

I've never noticed L.A. Rain's similarity to a particular Sisters track - their whole sound was clearly heavily influenced by the Girls, but it definitely has that Reptile House feel to it. I hope got substantial royalties for that, seeing as the game only came out in 1988. "Barry Leitch"'s Wikipedia page mentions that he has worked with "goth legends Alien Sex Fiend", so any suspicion that the nearly anagramous Leitch and Eldritch might be the same person can be immediately discounted !
