Updates on forum status, bug fixes, etc. If there's something new in here its probably a good idea that you read it.

Just a quick announcement: Heartland will be going down for essential maintenance in a few minutes.

It should only be down for a couple of minutes, but during that time the site will be unavailable.

The update & subsequent reboot will be to patch GHOST - a newly discovered security hole in the software running on the Heartland servers:

This is one advantage of running a bleeding-edge Arch Linux system. I'm on glibc 2.20 and have been since December. The vulnerability was apparently fixed by 2.18, released August 2013.
