at the time i am compiling another singles, b-sides and rarities cd-r for my personal collection, but i never had any chance to listen "detonation boulevard (remix)" from a lossless source. it would be very great if anybody could upload a straight promo-cd-rip of that song. thank you very much.

If you think about it, at the time that the various US only promo's came out, they were special mixes.

However, the Temple '92 and ASCOO were compiled to include them subsequently.

i compared the album version with the remix and they sound really different indeed. now my compilation is done...i will continue with the sgwbm project in the next days. almost the half of the stuff is done :)

dont want to be any kind of a spoil sport but i think we have been skating close to the line with a heartland rule regarding sharing official releases. just saying....

yeah, good point.

we've kinda made an exception for rob's "missing digital versions" project but we don't allow stuff that's (technically) readily available to purchase.

the whole thing takes us dangerously close to the copyright lawyers - be they eldritch's or (more likely) WEA's or whoever bought the rights from them.

that's not to say you can't do it, obviously, but we can't be seen to share the results :|

^^ Whilst the above is a fair point, any actual litigation would likely fall flat when Andrew refuses to appear in court to assert that he made the songs. He'd have to appear on behalf of WEA, and, I'm speculating here, that's not likely to be on the cards.

The fact that various copyrighted materials were recently uploaded to YT without censure goes some way to confirming this assumption too. At the moment the entire Sisters back catalogue is on YT, which is far more public platform than Heartland.

Is that legal, and any idea who's doing that? Many artists entire back catalogues have been uploaded to youtube. I have one theory... I've seen albums posted to youtube that have one or two tracks missing, and I also know of a Russian mp3 site with full albums... but the full albums occasionally have one or two tracks missing... and yes you've guessed it, it's the same 2 tracks missing that I've seen on youtube. So if the people uploading the albums have obtained the files from a dodgy Russian site then it can't be legal can it? More likely to be chancers trying to earn money off them from the ads and youtubes monetisation scheme.
