Salvation 30th Anniversary Gig - Leeds - 21/03/15

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I'll be popping down to Leeds on Friday 20th with my partner-in-crime to see the Sallies at the Brudenell. Already made plans to get a pint with Mr Denbigh at some point, but if anyone else is going to the gig, let me know.

I will probably be wearing black. And going wild at the front.

The same Expelaires that one Mr Adams came from? I used to live about 10 seconds down the road from Brudenell for a year or so. Miss that area sometimes.

No worries. Would have given a more comprehensive review, but I was still blown away a day or two later. :)
It was a fantastic evening, meeting some folk I'd seen before, having an inflatable penguin thrown around, and generally good fun. Was nice to see Mr Ed Rhombus too!

For reference, their setlist in Glasgow on 10/10/14 (where I was DJing as a "support act" and responsible for taking them out drinking) was:

The Answer
Diamond Child
Bamboo
(Clearing Out The) Debris
The October Hour
The Happening
Pearl Necklace
Payola
All And More
Thunderbird
----
Why Lie?
Kids In America

Being brave is coming home at 2am half drunk, smelling of perfume, climbing into bed, slapping the wife on the arse and saying,"right fatty, you're next!!"

Well well well, just got back from New York and what do I find? Only a bloody PM from Keef! Now I find out he's just got the internet in his neck of the woods. Next you'll be telling me he's on facebook (aye, right). Now I've got your number expect to hear from me forthwith, and assume the position!
