Is Goth Just a Phase?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I would genuinely like to find out.
For those who are interested, I have been involved in the Goth scene in Australia for about 25+ years  so I figured it must mean something to me and I wanted to know if it meant anything to anyone else.

....so...I am doing a research project towards my PhD.

If you are a Goth, have been in the Goth scene or have an affiliation with the subculture I would love to hear from you!

http://isgothjustaphase.com/ - Why not take the survey!!!

What better way to celebrate World Goth Day
There are a coulple of survey choices including a quick one if preferred...

Thank you to anyone who shows an interest!
Cheers,
Emma.
PS I hope I haven't disgraced myself too much and get banned....

Wow! Thank you all so much!!
I will report back how it all goes, if folks are interested.

....and there MAY be a couple of short follow up surveys - such as one on music ;) - but we'll see how we go!

FYI I had estimated (and told my uni) that I would get about a hundred or so responses - well over that already and it has only been up for a day (albeit World Goth Day!), woo hoo!
So thank you all again for "getting your Goth on".

I've done the quiz. If Goth is a phase, it's one that's lasted me nearly 30 years...

Yes, please do keep us posted (I filled it out as well).
