What is this?? I have found it recently. Could this be real because it seems quite pro? (or someone has been very skillful)

Fake.
Uploaded by "Elsie Baggs" who, according to Google/YouTube, is this person:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3SbGG ... freload=10
They have also uploaded live vids by The Sisters, James Ray and The Manc Lads (:!:), including one with footage filmed by our very own Snowey.
Regardless of quality (some of it's ok, and some is very iffy indeed) I'd suggest the source rules out any claim to legitimacy.

What’s the difference between a buffalo and a bison?
Yeah, I'm not buying it either.
They seem far too polished for demos & a bit feeble really.
I would have expected a really walloping bass/ rhythm section

Okay... (I admit Top Nite Out and C&B quite deceived me )Quiff Boy wrote:@ Joy: There's no need to delete the thread.... I'm happy to leave it here as a discussion point

Nowt to do with me chief as I've never filmed the sisters. Violets / Fall / NMA etc etc yes but never the sisters.Quiff Boy wrote:Fake.

Thy may not be instrumentals at all. They could just be the Sisters live with Von's voice lost in the awful mix as usual.
Any more of that and we'll be round your front door with the quick-setting whitewash and the shaved monkey.
Many thanks!

Vaguely apropos, there's also this soundcheck of an unheard song from a few years ago:

This is the real Sisters, at least.

If vampires played music, it would sound like this
404 Not Found. I was curious given the discussion above- apparently at least some of 'em are decently produced?Joy wrote:Many thanks!

Listening to it now (thanks!) I know people whose demos are this polished. Hell, so are mine. Comes with being a recording geek. It's mostly synth, looped bass, and drum machine anyhow- not hard to record cleanly. Guitars sound very much direct into the board, which is a fan of. If I knew nothing about the source, it wouldn't actually surprise me- it's lack of vocals that makes me suspect they're not? Some of the drum sounds in there seem more... Modern than what I'm used to in a Sisters context, but I'd hope there'd at least be some change over the years.Pista wrote:Yeah, I'm not buying it either.

Given the sound of the live rhythm section, this is roughly what I'd expect. I'd hope for a walloping one, but then I'd expect just as much walloping live.
Someone spent some time with this. Given what I know re: his gear-tweakingness and taste in things, I might expect 's demos to sound roughly like this. Again, no vocals though, and I would expect there to be vocals.[/i]
