Set List Wishes
No, for some reason I love that one. Great groove. Not big on lyrics though..but neither is Heartland. Just as I love Arms and Romeo Down.NickW wrote:Am I the only person that would like to hear 'Still' reintroduced to the set list ?

I wouldn't mind Under The Gun actually, that version is quite good. Could always get Lisa Cuthbert to do the female vocals?

I'm just glad Come Together hasn't seen the light of day for a long time.
FWIW, a correct-speed version of Body Electric wouldn't go amiss. That slow version is a bit painful.

I've always liked Come Together - War on Drugs too. As for Body Electric, yes - and be sure to include the cool descending bass line at the end.Norman Hunter wrote:I'm just glad Come Together hasn't seen the light of day for a long time.

Still playing guitar - sometimes weird shaped ones.
Good Things would be nice indeed.
I am also in favour of Body electric performed at its original speed.
I'd be quite up for War On Drugs again.
Beyond that - something entirely new.

So, just a couple of weeks to go to the first show of 2015 so the set list is probably already chosen. I reckon that as usual for the Festival there'll be the big hits casual fans expect to hear plus the other set staples which never seem to change.
So in other words I reckon they'll play about 90% of this familiar dozen (but not necessarily in this order):
More
Ribbons
Dominion/Mother Russia
Crash and Burn
Alice
Arms
This Corrosion
Flood II
Lucretia
FALAA
Temple of Love
Vision Thing
Covers never stay for more than a couple of years, so Gift that Shines is in need of replacement, plus a new instrumental to give Von a break.
Another criterion seems to be that the songs aren't too demanding on 's voice, and he likes to surprise us a little, so I would hope for more than a couple from this list, particularly in October :
NTTC
Fix
Still
Rain From Heaven
Driven Like The Snow
Suzanne
Afterhours
YCBTO
Anaconda
But then again, I'm usually completely wrong.

I don't think we'd get Driven Like The Snow, Afterhours or YCBTO sadly. They've all never been played live as far as I'm aware?Nikolas Vitus Lagartija wrote:So, just a couple of weeks to go to the first show of 2015 so the set list is probably already chosen. I'd love them to bring back Capricorn or I Didn't Know I Loved You Til I Saw You Rock and Roll as covers, mostly because I've been listening to the Astoria set a lot lately.

I wish for different set list every night please.
I would also love to see one night that opens with a song that you would never, ever have guessed they would start the show with that. In my case it would be This Corrision complete with the choral opening as the album track.
