If You Could Wave A Magic Wand.....

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

.....with only enough magic in it to get Eldritch to reocord just one vocally perfect song, what would it be? You can have "new" songs (unrecorded) old songs re-arranged (eg. slow Body Electric) or just jazzed up a la TOL 92, and songs the sisters have already done as covers covers (please no new covers cause that subjects been done to death.) and you can't have the far parade because you havent actually heard it yet so its a potential waste of a wish.

mine would be "Summer", simply because i think it's the best of the "new". :von:

I think it'd be Crash & Burn for me.
Always rocks my socks off when I hear it :)
Cheers.

A very hard choice. These have reached my fast selected shortlist:

Fix - well, not yet ... 8) ...

Wide Receiver - anyway, and always, basically, but not now

Poison Door - yeah, maybe better later, if necessary (although ...)

Giving Ground - very useful, could be more useful later, though, if necessary ...

Capricorn - must be, some time, anytime ... 8) ...

Crash And Burn - lovely, rocking, but not necessarily exactly now ... on the other hand ... :D ...

Confide In Me - ... ah, they could have done that all over this year ... *sigh ... but it's never too late ...

You Could Be The One - ... very handy now, too ... and very tempting, ... ;D ... BUT ...

Summer - agreed .... ;D ;D ;D ...

I'd love to hear a proper recording of Wide Receiver.

Wide Receiver or Good Things, yeah - even though we already have decent recordings of the latter.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

New one;

Romeo Down. Just shades it from Crash & Burn.
