I wonder what he means when he says the songs will be different next time. Good interview.

This is rather rambling interview. I wonder if it was translated from another language?

One time someone came to me and said there is a major scene in a film with these guys in a car driving down a boulevard with them singing one of your songs whilst that happens and I was, ‘well ok’ and I asked for the script and I thought that this is a f**king terrible film. It turned out that is was the scene in Wayne’s World where they are singing Bohemian Rhapsody and originally they wanted This Corrosion!
The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.

Only the Americans could have built a place like this in the middle of a jungle.

That was my reaction too
Jeepers, I bet that would've brought in a few quid. Still you have to admire him for sticking to his guns.Pista wrote:Ha!markfiend wrote:One time someone came to me and said there is a major scene in a film with these guys in a car driving down a boulevard with them singing one of your songs whilst that happens and I was, ‘well ok’ and I asked for the script and I thought that this is a f**king terrible film. Nice read. I can't recall if it's been discussed before but how on earth did Vision Thing get into that disgraceful film Showgirls?! Surely he had to ok it!

Oh my, I know that pain ... ... Had a similar thing earlier this year. Soo painful - and paralysing. Fortunately not a muscle rupture, though it really felt like it!A.E. wrote:I have to warn you that my music has become even more primitive now after I seriously damaged my elbow recently and I have no feeling in my my left hand.
Now it's (mostly) gone. It took me one of these (and no other!), about two of these and a good portion of patience.

2003 is recent when you haven't released a new song for nearly twenty five years! Mr Robb is an excellent interviewer but you can almost feel Von putting the shutters up about half way through.

Mr. Robb really needs to get somebody to edit his interviews before posting them in the public domain.
Nice interview apart from the grammar.

I love LTW but it's seriously let down sometimes by multiple "and" other dire un-readables.
Nice interview. I was reading a good one with Jon Langford about his TSOM times this morning as well.

First interview in years where I felt like I've learn't something new, but it reads like a bunch of pre-written questions sent via email rather than an live Q&A.
There is some gold in there that doesn't get any follow up lines of questioning - for example telling us he has has no feeling in his left hand

They are working on an album. Inter alia.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.
