GW31 - Deadline Tuesday 4th April 18.45 pm

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

...just the latest in an occasional series called Exquisite Flukes.

Was it you I was up against in the H2H Bearskin? If so, if you looked at the scores wednesday morning I guess you thought you had that one in the bag eh? (I'm only presuming this because of the rolling eyes, why else would an IGM player be rolling their eyes at another IGMers good fortune, it's all team points innit).

Yes, I have some experience of (other team's) EFs

It's not very often 'in the bag' for me. I tend to get the 'I just played my Triple Captain', or 'three of my players I picked, didn't actually play so my subs came on and picked up 157 points each'. So, others EFs generally.

Can you tell I'm a tad jaded with FF this year?

Still, nicely done. Just a shame it was played against my own (mediocre) efforts.

Aye it can certainly jade, but hey 8 games to go, then it's full steam ahead with the fantasy cricket league :P

Most important thing I figured out after season one was that it's a pot luck pastime, no stress required there :) it adds an extra (or first) layer of interest in the scores and scorers of other teams than the one you support of a weekend.

A particular trick of FF is for a team with a coupla your players to win 5-1, only to discover neither of 'em scored, and worse one of them conceded a penalty with a professional foul, the penalty was missed and yer other player scored a spectacular own goal giving the opposition their '1'. It's moments like that can leave you glancing furtively upwards, wondering if your real name is Truman ;D

Good GW this week with more excitement as usual. Leicester back on track, even if it is a bit late in the season, but they'll be feeling much better. Vardy an option for the last few games? Probably not a great idea to pick Luke Shaw until next season, as he'll likely be at another club. Playing Everton was another exercise in not winning for JoMo. Oh well, he'll survive. :D
Liverpool and Bournemouth was frustrating for both sides, Bournemouth probably happier. Mané's loss is a going to affect them bigly for the rest of the season, as he has to have surgery. At the Emirates, Ozil woke up and did the business for a stumbling Arsenal, so I hope Wenger bought him some Haribo as a thank you.
Spurs and Southampton both left it very late for their wins - Spurs have been accused of being unSpursy, which has made me giggle a lot. True though! Kane is in the squad for tomorrow, which is good to see. Capoue is doubtful though, Chelsea won again though Man City had enough chances to at least level! Hazard is back! naturally I didn't buy him and put my triple captain on him
 and I also picked the wrong goalie, as mine were playing each other. Bum.
The last shock is that IGM won this GW! Woo hoo! The table:

As you can see, that Nikolas is still in place for the yellow jersey and the H2H

But I'm not letting him keep them yet

The Big Shout Out goes to FC Tangerine with a solid 70

I will leave you in Steve's Shed for GW32 whilst I try and find all the digestive crumbs  but in the meantime here's the H2H combined table:

well done us! :notworthy:
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"
