Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

I'm correcting myself:

I actually surfed into it one day. The segment featured Patti Smith as well as Dre. Without context I wasn’t sure what the connection was, other than maybe it was featuring mavericks, each in their own way. It was near the end though. I will have to watch on demand one of these days assuming it’s available.bearskin wrote:OMG yes.CommodoreRock wrote:I'm correcting myself:

A few of my all time favourite opening lines:
"Bangkok, Oriental Setting
But the city don't know what the city is getting"
One Night In Bangkok, from the musical Chess
"Naked as sin, an army towel
Covering my belly"
Next by Scott Walker
"Waiting for the sunrise, soul dancing in the dark
Walking in the moonlight, love-making in a park"
Summer Night City by ABBA
What’s the difference between a buffalo and a bison?
I saw it on Netflix. It focuses on the careers of, and then partnership between Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre. Patti Smith is on the Iovine side early on before they meet (he did sound/production on Because the Night and was instrumental in getting her to do the song after his mate Tom Petty decided he wasn't going to use it)CommodoreRock wrote:I actually surfed into it one day. Got it. I originally caught the few minutes I saw of it on HBO. I don’t currently have Netflix but will resubscribe to binge Stranger Things season 3 whenever that happens and check it out then if I don’t catch it before then.

Lay me down the long white line
Leave the sirens far behind me...
When it's passing strange
And I'm waiting for the train...
And:
Three, five, zero, one, two, five go!
Tranquilizers make me nervous
I can't relax no more...
Sometimes
I feel like I want to live
Far from the metropolis
Just walk through that door ...
Sweet child in time
You'll see the line
The line that's drawn between
Good and bad...
