"MEET THE AUTHOR". Paint My Name In Black and Gold" Crowdfunding Events
EVENT ONE: 18.00 - 19.30 (CET) at Bar Des Amis, Tervuren 3080, Belgium. 27 APRIL 2019
We will play the nine-and-a-half instrumental, 4-track home demos that That Guitarist made for a proposed second Sisters album, that were rejected by Andrew Eldritch in Hamburg in the early autumn of 1985. These songs all went on to become early m*****n tracks.
We will also play part or whole of the bootleg of The Sisters first Brussels concert in 1983, which resulted in their 'arrest', as seen in Philippe Carly's legendary photos.
I can share my research on these and other Sisters and Leeds-related topics. I also expect to benefit from hearing what you have to say and learn some things useful for the book.

All funds raised will go to the book and will be pledged live at the event.

The blurb for Wayne's book mentions that it will have special editions with a number of demos. I'm checking if these are the 'rejected' Sisters demos. If so, that could be making these events redundant. Will update, as I find out more ...

That was a wonderful evening and well worth the travel ... 
... and so exciting to hear those old demos (I love listening to demos) ... 
...
Most of them were without vocals, full of great guitar, percussions, bass parts ... loads of creative themes, more or less elaborated,
many were just lovely ... and, as I was infomed, so they became some of the best known m*****n tracks ...
...
Still, I can think up a variety of reasons, why Andrew didn't want to do lyrics for most of them. All in all, I can imagine he saw these demos
as a good basis for a great record, only not just with him ... with another singer, they might really make something of it ... and so history
took its course ... let's part amicably ... ...
Anyway, it was quite a pleasure to listen to that old stuff, and I wish I could hear it all over again - as is, not in any released version.
Also, there were some surprises in them ...
... but, I don't want to reveal too much as there's another such event in Leeds later on.
In addition, a bunch of hardcore band aficionados coming together in one room to listen to some old demos and talk ... ... wonderful ... ...
