FWIW, the patterns are out there. My friend made me a set of drinks coasters with these cross-stitch designs in them (and yes, they rock. Very very hard. I'd post pics but my Thornton Pickard is in for repairs just now).

They were kind enough to send me a photo to show what they had done. (well, unless there happens to be someone else who made coasters too, but i doubt it :lol: ) If it is you, i'm so happy they went to a tea aficionado such as yourself. :D

If the person was a delightful young librarian in Brooklyn then it was almost certainly me. They are f**king ace - when I saw your pictures I wondered if you'd done the designs, I think it's a bit flippin' groovy that the world is this small :D
