Mr Gallup grooving to a tune that nobody else can quite hear is forever an endearing feature of a Cure show.
It is good though.
Btw does anyone have a good digi rip of the Show VHS? Please PM a link if so. Ta x

It was so disappointing to miss out on tix to this - the live stream made up for it (at least a bit) and we made quite an event of it at ours.
It was a very emotional evening actually.... 30 years. The same friends that I listened the album with me for the first time, joined me this time... yes, quite emotional.

He still manages to maraud around the stage for the entire show without showing any signs of fatigue though

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Let's not forget that Show was released on the failed Philips CD-i digital video format in glorious 368x224!Pista wrote:incoming!Swinnow wrote: Btw does anyone have a good digi rip of the Show VHS? Please PM a link if so. Ta x

Pista wrote:CD-i is a funny format because it doesn't conform to the Redbook standard. However most drives will recognise a disc is present, but can't do anything with it. What you need to do is create an image of the disc and extract the stuff you want once it's on your computer. ISOBuster can do this, it also has an MPEG extract function for dealing with CD-i video and the more common VCD formatrobertzombie wrote:Really? The Werchter show last night was immense! Excellent setlist, but what I loved the most was the chemistry between them. Robert in a very good & playful mood, it was a joy to see

He doesn't take over & just fills the space he's there to fill.

Been watching him closely during the show and he really adds to the experience without overdoing it. He seems to enjoy it very much, just like Roger
