And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

"...and here's Bavarian champion Hans Bauernschneider in his first European championship. Some of you will recall his father, the great Helmut Bauernschneider, competing in the 1980 Olympic games, where he took gold in the Freestyle DryStone Walling competition, beating the USA's Chet "The Wall" Wallowicz by just 2 points in nail-biting final that had all of us in the commentary box on the edge of our seats.
Yes, John - there's a long history of competition in the Bauernschneider family. His great-uncle Erwin will be best remembered for the terrific upset in the 1964 Games, the so-called Berlin Wall semi-finals, where he faced off the USSR's Yuri Yoyoyovovich. Some great times.
And so here's Hans Bauernschneider taking his mark in the Barbed Wire (open) class. See the concentration on his face as he makes sure his gloves are on firmly. All to play for here as he approaches his first post..."
Btw, in spite of Bauernschneider's tradition-supported bravery, this year's European Championship medal went to Söhnke Friedmund Klar, who easily outplayed him by three (and a half) to one pitches already during the 128 direct eliminations. But hell, it's the taking part that counts ... merely watching is always only half the fun. So what... ...

I'm so bored of Matt Berry. When he was in Garth Marenghi's Darkplace I thought Todd Rivers was a wonderful comic creation. Turns out, it's just him.Charlie wrote:Gonna try this - victorian whitechapel comedy spoof apparently, we'll see!

This:
last eve, and that is so good, so griping, so good, well acted, so good made, with some deepth.
Quite obvously, some comaparision may occur, basing on, great performer, flamboyance, charisma, between this and Bohemian Rhapsody, and BoRap looks so thin.

I went and saw Midsommar last night. I loved it, but it is definitely not for everyone. Florence Pugh knocks it out of the park, I think, and Jack Reynor has what might be the most perfect "what-the-f**k?" face I've ever seen on an actor.

an evening of this
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Still trying to get to grips with DARK on Netflix. Even if it wasn't dubbed from the original German, I'd still have a struggle with the hundreds of characters across four time-zones with travel between them all.
Gorgeous and eerie though.

Absolutely terrifying too in that it was so close to the present day situation in the world.
A bit like watching dystopia actually come about.
