Hello everyone! Welcome back to the Batcave, which is as dark and dangerous as you could wish to find. These days, you might need somewhere where they can't follow you! Come take shelter from the days, the Brexit and the whims of managers that leave your captains on the bench. Steve has admirably summed up the glory of GW1 and I'm pleased to say that IGM wiped the floor with ya! I may only say in once, but golly, it's good!
Ok, let's crack on with some pithy and poor predictions
Saturday
Arsenal 12:30 Burnley Arses may have a renaissance if Burnley let them
Aston Villa 15:00 Bournemouth Ake to score and Grealish to get sent off
Brighton 15:00 West Ham Maybe the Hammers will have some pride to restore, but - will they?
Everton 15:00 Watford Iwobi? Welbeck? let's be having ya!
Norwich 15:00 Newcastle Woo! Canaries at home! Pukki party!
Southampton 15:00 Liverpool Fresh from Supercup exploits, I can't see Liverpool losing this. Salads at the ready.
Man City 17:30 Spurs Possibly a bit of season tonesetting here. Both teams took a while to settle to their games last week. Spurs the nervier, but City not taking enough of their chances.
Sunday
Sheffield Utd 14:00 Crystal Palace I've no idea but expecting Palace to put up a good fight.
Chelsea 16:30 Leicester Chelsea recovered well to only lose the Supercup to Liverpool on penalties, scoring first before that. They may have lost heavily last week, but keep an eye on them.
Monday
Wolves 20:00 Man Utd Wolves playing tonight in Europe so hopefully no injuries. Utd looked quite emphatic. Back to better days?
Feels good to have it back, right?
May the VAR be with you
xx

I'll tell you what. If there were more refs as good as those who took the super cup last night we wouldn't need VAR at all.
Fingers crossed for that Pukki party
Floor wiping machines engaged

Blimey who's Ederson Volleys? Whoever you are, well played Sir or Madam, 100 points in GW1, decent!
Star players on benches, goalkeepers effing themselves up by tripping over blades of grass after five minutes, own goals.... it was looking like business as usual at twenty past three last Sat. Thankfully Captain I'm Claiming That One hit two late goals (after I'd turned it off with them one down) and then Boly somehow managed to bag nine points in a nil nil draw during which his VARed handball prevented a goal - do you get points for being the subject of a VAR that penalises your team?
As for United, this Red saw an emphatically ordinary team being emphatically ran ragged for sixty minutes before spamming a four nil. No complaints (other than thinking long and hard before deciding Rashford was a definite No for my squad) but it's gonna be a long season. At least the central defence didn't read Smalling Jones for once. Been wishing for that for about six seasons now.
Good luck this week FPLers.

Yes but who on HL is he? Or is he our wildcard (ie not actually on HL)? And I genuinely don't understand how anyone can bag nine points in a nil nil.emilystrange wrote:He's OURS, Dave!

You have Pukki Steve? Good call!
I read, before the season started, that he was something of a goal machine in the championship. Looks like he's continuing in the same veinPlanet Dave wrote:

1st hat trick in the premiership for Norwich for 26 years, or summat. Cool.

Eff you two, I'm buying him. He's MY Pukki! (actually Boss you can keep him too)
Awful game week. All my hopes now rest with Mr Varpoints himself Boly, and frankly I hope he and his team are on the receiving end of a 10-0 drubbing tonight, although he's welcome to accrue individual FPL points by handballing as many goalbound Wolves shots as he likes.

Hey! I bought Pukki LAST SEASON when none of you thought Norwich would even make it!

Should be a good match tonight, Woves 6 United 7, Jiminez and Boly bag superb hat-tricks but the team falls just short. Everyone's a winner.
Pukki is the most transferred in player over the weekend. Over 420,500 people have picked him up.
