exactly. and it is ALL subjective, so go figure.Swinnow wrote:Indeed, as forever and always, it boils down to one's perception on who had the favoured grasp on reality
Well I was handsome and I was strong

Absolutely ... ... it always depends on one's own ground and angle of view ... so, after all, there's an endless variety of truths ... ...
But here come "the majority" ... always asking for their pound of flesh ... *sigh ...

So it is, just the question which truth is the most worth to be believed.Being645 wrote:Absolutely ... ... it always depends on one's own ground and angle of view ... so, after all, there's an endless variety of truths ... ...

Just a thought... Temporary loss of reality - isn't that the whole point of reading a book? Step outside our own reality for a while and into the "reality" of a book.Being645 wrote: you make me wonder if reading (books) can have the effect of a temporary loss of reality ... ... *only a slight reminder, no insult intended!!! ...
Anyway, no insult taken.

Good ... ... and of course, reading is there to enrich your life ... be it with phantasies, realities, programmings, statistics ... ...markfiend wrote:Just a thought... Anyone else listened to the audio download that came with the book, with a few demos thrown in? Dance On Glass is pretty-much the version we know, lyric-wise.

This is probably the best comparison of the two I've read. To be cool you need a certain nonchalance, watching AE in interviews always makes uncomfortable viewing....his nerviness makes him stiff and snidey.Elfink wrote:
Wayne's always been the cool one for me..His stupid and normal and northern and I dunno..he's like the guy who'd come and fit your windows...Eldritch? he's not cool..he pretends to be but he's too uptight. He's nervous. Wayne just isn't.
It's just that Andy had the better songs and the better airbrush on rock music...Wayne had a crap vision...Jim Steinman! Come On!
Von wins but Wayne should have.
I would like to add though that AE is incredidbly photogenic which is also in his favour.

True in a certain way...have seen Wayne a few days ago at Krefeld. Can you imagine sit down in front of about 120 people, playing a wild array of his and other 's songs, all the time talking to and interacting with the audience ? Hell, I have been to Sisters concerts where he hardly ever moved out of the dry ice fog. Still he wins...I would give tickets for 10 Mish concerts for 1 Sisters concert.GC wrote:This is probably the best comparison of the two I've read.
