Sisters live sound

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

And the entire concert was so energetic. It was a great pleasure to see it and hear the crowd respond to that also by their chorus.... ;D ...
That sounds great, glad you got to experience that! I wish I could have been there. Wrong continent unfortunately...
Oh yes, I know ... there are so many waiting in America for The Sisters to come over again ...
and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you all each year... ... can't imagine this should never happen again... ...

At least, there are all the videos (partly even full show videos) in the SistersWiki stored under each date.
So that everyone in the world can at least get a glimpse from the shows and enjoy ... ;D ...
This year, only Malmö could not be documented on video at all so far.

Here's hoping! If they do come to LA I'll have to interview them.

Two of the biggest disappointments in all my years watching bands was seeing Bob Dylan live...A legend but live absolutely woeful.

Second major disappointment was seeing the SOM live in Leeds a few years ago. So many songs driven by amazing bass lines, so when I heard a sorry excuse for the sound of bass, I was staggered that Mr E cant’t hear how bad it sounds - soulless, bereft of power and foundation. Imagine Joy Division without Hooky, The Cure without Simon G, the Stranglers without JJ.

I once played bass for a band influenced by the Sisters and I played every bass line they ever created to learn my craft and formed my own live sound from it.

Seriously, if you’re reading this find a good bass player Mr E!!! Your fans deserve it.

Not read any of this thread. Just read the title and chipping in with the opinion that The Sisters sounded their best live in '85. Not that I saw them then but do have the boots to prove it. Simple as that and my opinion on this is utterly inflexible. So there.
