Have you established a good reputation at HL and got some Sisters stuff to sell or trade with the community? Or are you searching for that elusive ultra rare live bootleg from 1988? Ever had a bad experience with a trader on Ebay? Let us all know here. Outdated threads will be purged over time.

Hi!

ok, just sorted through my CD-Rs of Sisters boots and have found 4 that have no proper dates on. Can someone give me the correct dates? If whoever sent them to me can remember as well that would be great (was all from the same person!) and thanks very much, they are all really great quality!

London Electric Ballroom 1983

Intro has a guy on the PA saying Welcome to the ballroom - Sisters Of Mercy!

Hamburg 1990

No Eldritch/Crowd banter as such, any there is in in German and as my knowledge of German is from car adverts and bad war films I can't help with transcribing them! Track listing was:

Afterhours (Intro)
F+L+A
Lucretia
Body & Soul
Detonation Boulevard
Ribbons
Dominion/Mother Russia
Flood II
Valentine
Heartland
Amphetamine Logic
Alice
Gimme Shelter
This Corrosion
Jolene
Temple Of Love
1969

Haltsfred 1991

Afterhours (Intro)
F+L+A
Lucretia - Loud voices (possibly the bootlegger?) in the first min of the song.
Body & Soul
Possession - At the beginning Eldritch says "This is a very strange place..."
Ribbons
Alice
Dominion/Mother Russia
Amphetamine Logic
Detonation Boulevard
Marian
This Corrosion
Gimme Shelter
Flood II
Temple Of Love
Something Fast
Jolene
Vision Thing
1969

Leeds 1991

Afterhours (Intro)
Alice
Lucretia
Body & Soul
Ribbons
Dominion/Mother Russia - Fades out
F+L+A
Amphetamine Logic
Detonation Boulevard - after song finishes, the drums kick in for a couple of beats, cheers and jeers from the crowd
Burn
Marian - Cuts off just after song finishes
This Corrosion - Eldritch says " I remember when this stage used to be big"
Gimme Shelter - Eldritch says "Is my nose still bleeding?"
Flood II - Cuts out after song finishes
Temple Of Love
Valentine
Vision Thing
Something Fast
Jolene
1969

not sure, but it sounds like the tenth anniversary gig? 16.02.91?

Also, just remembered, what is the date for the "When Sirens Wailed" boot? Seems to be 1997,98 or 99.

This sounds like the 11-08-83 gig . Does the very start of the gig have the end of DAF´s "Der Mussolini" , just before the guy says welcome to the ballroom etc .

Definitely 10th anniversary 16/02/91. Final answer Chris.

This is the problem I'm having, on the Sisters site, the Electric Ballroom gig is on 12-08-83, it has the Camden Palace gig on the 11th.
Definitely 10th anniversary 16/02/91. Final answer Chris.
As I thought, Thanks Mark & Quiff!

Leeds is return to Arkham source me thinks

Camden & EB are one and the same. Played two gigs same place. Pub type thing in became club type thing. The gig 11/12 (i.e. late @ night is dog rough) the 11 gig has two source, the one you name is the better of the two

Yeah it is! I just couldn't remember the correct date for it. All I remembered was that it was a US gig. Thanks! :notworthy:

ok, I think I sorted out the other dates myself.

I think the Hamburg 1990 gig is 18-11-90, the Hultsfred 1991 gig is 19-05-91 (I found this on the official gigography eventually!).

The information I have is that both gigs were billed as 11th Aug, but as the 2nd one started after midnight it's listed as 12th Aug.

I'm told the first one started early, around 5pm. The available recording is around 45 minutes, 10 songs. Some people believe they have a mixing desk recording of the last 5 songs of this gig. It's not. It's just a very good audience recording. Compare the audience recording with the "mixing desk" recording and you'll hear they're the same source, one's just much better quality.

I'm told the second one started around 3am (although this seems a little late so my info is probably wrong.) The version I have is around 35 minutes (7 songs), but is painfully slow. After speed correction it should play for around 30 minutes.

and Hamburg is 18.11.90 (I was there for the 16th and 17th but not the 18th).
