Woo! Another week, another GW! Can't annoy anyone more that last week's general fiasco, whether it was VAR or selections or the bloody other team's players doing better, the gits. Steve summed up all of the low points over on the Shed blackboard.
If we can forget about that and concentrate on next week, that would be good.
THE GW STARTS TOMORROW
Friday 25 October 2019
Southampton 20:0 Leicester
Saturday 26 October 2019
Man City 12:30 Aston Villa
Brighton 15:00 Everton
Watford 15:00 Bournemouth
West Ham 15:00 Sheffield Utd
Burnley 17:30 Chelsea
Sunday 27 October 2019
Newcastle 14:00 Wolves
Arsenal 16:30 Crystal Palace
Liverpool 16:30 Spurs
Norwich 16:30 Man Utd
I've spent all week packing up my house and coughing, so am somewhat knackered. Up the Spurs and the Canaries, boo to VAR (as divisive as Brexit) and complete arsey poo wipes to all the racists. They deserve to be downside in a ditch alongside any other nasty types we might come across. Ahem.
Good luck all.

Wildcard played. Too soon I know but what can you do? Either flap about players and the whims of their managers, or just put the player list on the dartboard and have at it.
Good luck IGM

9? It was 8 when I turned it off with about 30 seconds of injury time left. Good week to bring in a job lot of Leicester players, though one was benched, ah well.
Top scorer globally put a triple captain chip on Vardy this week

I toyed with the same idea but couldn't see the triple captain chip, so presumed if you use your Wildcard that overrides all the other optional extras? Probably wouldn't have anyway as I got a collywobble about overloading the team with leicester, hence 6 point Perreira sitting on the bench, so adopted the safety-first approach of making sterling captain. Still, 31 points from 2 players after one match comfortably trumped last weeks effort.Pista wrote:Top scorer globally put a triple captain chip on Vardy this week
Side note to The Sisters - feel free to tour the US and open the shows with Comfortably Trumped.

i've got 7 players to go and a sub to come in, and got nearly as many points as the whole of last week
I don't wanna live like I don't mind
I see Mike Dean went on another 8 card bender yesterday
Watford & Bournemouth were 10th & 6th respectively in the yellow card table.
Now they're 2nd & 3rd

Dammit I've just read about Boly and his fractured ankle. Sorry for the guy, and also now have a question about subs, I presume they are used in the order you placed them on the subs bench, is this so?

But you can only have a minimum of 3 defenders so you'll get Pereira in Boly's place.

Outstanding, just as I planned it! Cheers Steve unfortunately I also planned on James AND Rashford having ggod games. Hmm, let's see. I'll feel dirty if I have to turn it off through boredom to watch the scouse-spurs game instead.Pista wrote:That's right.Planet Dave wrote:Dammit I've just read about Boly and his fractured ankle. 57 points. I may be starting to get the hang of this.

Bleughhh. full of cold, back to work and wasted the last two weeks as our buyers' solicitor is flipping useless and keeps asking for info over and over again. We should have moved last week.
Still, my week didn't go as badly as Southampton, who are now on the wrong end of an away result record. Leicester demolished not just the team but the entire city with an impressive display, even if the Saints were rubbish. One inspired guy had Perez and Chilwell, also slapping the triple captain on Vardy. 99 points, before Saturday had dawned.
Man City buggered people about again, leaving Aguero out. I'm convinced Pep is laughing at us all. City are still on a run, but Ederson having to make 5 saves against Villa tells a tale. Everton had a small comeback but lost 3-2 to Brighton, thanks to Digne's last minute own goal. Brighton had scored one for them too, so quits... WATBOU was a nil nil thriller, I'm sure, with saves aplenty. WHUSHU was rather lively too. Chelsea's Pusilic scored a debut hat-trick, the first by an American since whatsisname 4654875 years ago - he was a very happy bunny. Willian scored the other Blues goal, whilst Burnley did score two late on to get a bit of pride back and seriously annoy their guests.
On Sunday, Wolves couldn't get past 10 man Newcastle in the end. Palace drew with Arsenal, which was nice. Arsenal might well be looking for a new captain after a display of pique.
Spurs put one past Liverpool after only a minute, which I managed to miss
but doing that at Anfield was a little dangerous. It was only 2-1 in the end though - Gazzaniga made 12 saves and took 3 bonus points.
The last game of the GW was United at Carrow Road. 3-1 was the final score, but VAR won. Penalties all over the place. Another fine goalkeeping display and bonus taking from Krul. 8 saves, two of them penalties, and a goal from the returning Hernandez (known locally as Mr Argos).
So, there we are. Goals, penalties and VAR dominated. Did we learn owt? Only that football is still a glorious, wonderful, fantastic mess of addictive bittersweetness.
Tables!
Woooo IGM back on top, baby, after winning the GW in style!
The Yellow Jersey adorns and beautifies Clash Athletic
and the Big Shout Out goes to Noodle Sponsor FC with 87.
Over on the H2H, the same scenario
Damage Dunfermline takes the Crown
A total clean sweep for IGM to all!
Ok, handing over to The Shed for GW 11
And don't worry if you're missing Brexit for now. VAR is here to hate in the meantime.

Just back from the riots & have managed to get GW11 started.
For some reason I thought the first game was tonight.
Anyway. Off to drill holes in stuff now.
