Gift reissue plus extras

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Hmmmnn, well that's tour time, so i can't see it happening then?
Although it could be a good time to bring back 'Giving Ground' to the live set to promote it. ;D

some kind of bummer; first it was announced as a double CD where we expected lots of bonus content and now the (presumably) plain (?) reissue seems rather sketchy.

It came under the name of Vive Le Shop Goodies January 2020 ... so perhaps a candidate for the spam folder?

Don't seem to be getting the updates either.
But I reckon a post on this thread will do the job just the same.

I got a reply from Cadiz earlier and so did Gothicbiff basically saying the same thing:

Hello

Yes please don't worry, you're registered to receive information. I have only updated people that have emailed asking since the initial email as we haven't got any rock solid information. I will hopefully be sending out a blanket update to everyone soonish. This is what I am telling people at the moment:

you're on the list to be notified when we have a more definite date, it's not going to be for a while yet - release date tentatively set for April/May.....

We will email everyone who has registered an interest when we know more.

kind regards,
Hedge/Cadiz

So hopefully when the next update comes out we will all know more. :D

Hello Everyone

Sorry we haven't written earlier but we are still waiting for news from Andrew Eldridge.

At the moment we have tentatively scheduled the release for April/May but this is pencilled in and not set in stone

Just wanted to let you know that we still have you on file to contact you when we have definite information and release date. This may not be for a while but we won't forget to mail you again.Hope your New year is going well.

All the best and thanks for your patience

Kind Regards

Just received this. Basically saying the same as before. I suspect they probably should have spelled his name properly if they're in contact with him. :-) This was always going to take quite a long time to be fair I suppose if all the stories of previous albums making are to be believed.

That might explain why they haven't had any news. Perhaps they're in contact with the wrong person :innocent:
Everything about this, right from the typos in the first announcement, strike me as fake.
Cheers.

Wonder what´s being released first - the Gift reissue or the new Sisters album.

I'd say so, but seem to recollect the flyers for it were on the merch desk at the Roundhouse. :?

Lovely touch just sharing everyone's email addresses, that's beyond amateurish and into the realms of plain stupid
