Indeed, it is so, after a two year battle with leukemia.

yes, sad news. RIP
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

I missed the chance to see them few years here.
But if story become fact then, sorry, it should happened him/her/they the same as Micheal Jackson, Gary Glitter, despite undoubt impact.

P-Orridge was accused of child abuse in 1992 after a C4 'satanic panic' documentary, and was subsequently cleared of all charges.
(rumours/allegations seemed to stem from an old Coil video directed by Sleazy)
This might be a different case all together, and I really hope it isn't true...
Meantime am mourning the culture, but keeping the cult on hold!

Was that the Cook Report? As I recall an occult bookstore here in Leeds was targeted in an arson attack because of that show.hellboy69 wrote:P-Orridge was accused of child abuse in 1992 after a C4 'satanic panic' documentary, and was subsequently cleared of all charges.
The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.

Sorcerer's Apprentice wasn't it? I used to live yards away from their old place on Burley Lodge Rd in the student ghetto in the 80s.

Indeed. Previous to being on Burley Lodge Road it used to be at what is now Oranaise Café at Hyde Park Corner, which is where it got firebombed.

It was on Burley Lodge Rd before being near the Hyde Park too. We lived on the adjoining Kelsall Rd in 1984 when we were students and it was there then. In those days it looked more of a mail order operation and seemed only open to pre-booked visits. Despite my ownership of Black Sabbath albums aplenty I never passed the front door

There’s a piece in the New Humanist which doesn’t paint a pretty picture. Also a pretty critical article about TOPY in PopMatters.

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.

Think the Cook Report was a year or two earlier, the C4 one was a Dispatches report that falsely accused P-Orridge using performance art footage that Derek Jarman had a hand in producing, apparently.markfiend wrote:Was that the Cook Report?
