Bad Companies To Work For

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I work for CUBIS Systems. A company based in Southern Ireland and part of the CRH group.

My part of the business works in Stoke on Trent, we are called MCL Industrial Enclosures. There is about 23 of us working here in an impossible environment to practice social distancing. We make green fibreglass Gas and Electric Kiosks by hand.

CUBIS systems has refused to shut down any of its sites. None of them. Liverpool, Biddulph Moor, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Lurgen etc.

CUBIS Systems has decided we are Key Workers, we provide "infrastructure". This is probably the most despicable act of profiteering I have ever come across in my working life and I am beholden to them. "No 80% for you pal if you go on the sick, or talk to loud, or worry too much"

CUBIS Systems, remember that, because when the dust settles and they do a forensic analyses of went wrong in this country companies that put profits over people, like the one I work for, CUBIS Systems should account for themselves.

Best wishes to you all

Without a doubt.

There are probably many other companies that are doing this.

There are definitely far too many companies doing this. Or, like Wetherspoons, completely abandoning their staff.

I have a feeling that there will be guillotines rolling out when this is all over.

There will certainly be payback for the likes of Wetherspoon's and Sports Direct unless their senior management immediately fall on their swords.

Can Tim Fuckwit be voted out at the AGM?

I see the Crystal Palace Wetherspoons was sprayed with 'PAY YOUR STAFF' across the front

I've shopped them.

Rang 101 selected the option "Business Crime" and spent a good hour talking to a policeman who was MORE than interested to hear what I had to say.

I can honestly say my employer has been amazing throughout this.

I think there's been some sticky bits around contractors and freelancers, but temp and permanent staff have been respected, treated well, and kept in the loop regarding any ongoing developments.

I've been super impressed by them tbf.
