Superchunk cover Alice

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

THis is an interesting cover. And the second cover of Alice with Female vocals that i like.
Good balance and at the spirit of the original song without being a copycat.
Worths at least a listening and thanks for sharing :notworthy: :bat: :bat:

This is great.

It's got that early-90s pre-grunge scuzzy feel to it, which really suits the song well. Very pleasantly surprised. :notworthy:
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Damn. That’s fantastic.

Yeah it is really good. It's a pretty straight cover, but it certainly motors along nicely.

And for what it's worth, I'm fairly sure that ain't no female voice.

As I put on the twitters, it's a bit sixth form school band for me.

Back in the mists of time, my actual sixth form band did play a version of Alice, inadvisably in a northern Working Men's club.

I guarantee you it would've been a lot, lot, lot worse than this.
