THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I don't think Logic even existed at the time Gift and Floodland were recorded...
Yeah logic has been around since the 80s. Apple bought it from a German company emagic in the early noughties
Wikipedia wrote:Logic Pro is a digital audio workstation (DAW) and MIDI sequencer software application for the macOS platform. It was originally created in the early 1990s as Notator Logic[3], or Logic, by German software developer C-Lab which later went by Emagic.

It says lower down in the article that Logic was first created in 1993.

Wow, I stand corrected. It seems a lot older than that. I started using Cubase in the late 80s and my friend who was a composer got me into all that MIDI stuff. I could have sworn he had emagic logic on his amiga back then. And MOTUs Digital Performer was the other one if I remember he was using. And by 95 I was already in the states. So even though I’d trust Wiki over my own memory those dates aren’t quite adding up for me. There’s a gap in my database.
