THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.
I've had a copy of this song for nearly thirty years, and have listened to it hundreds of times, but today's the first time I've watched the video.
And it's Dominion – I guess this won't be a surprise to most, but I've never come across it mentioned anywhere – but it's clearly the template for the Dominion music video, even down to the specific crops, use of slow mo, fades etc.
Anyone know the story behind it?
"You do realize you're talking to a man with a human head in his hands who has every intention of using it to beat these people to death?"
I believe Dominion was filmed before Im Nin‘Alu. And I somehow don‘t think Ofra Haza knew the video at the time. It‘s just a guess, though. I think it‘s coincidence.

Yes, I think so too. In particular also because the audio in that original video is not quite the audio track
that was commonly played and featured on the CD at the time but sounds like an extended remix, rather.
