Hey folks.
Unfortunately, I've just had some really sad news about one of our community.
Sam Donohoe, known on the forum as @sam donut has passed away.
He was diagnosed with stage 5 stomach cancer in March after being really ill for a few months (but never telling anyone on here!), which sadly accelerated until he passed away on April 23rd.
I've known Sam since we were both 17, and used to hang out in dodgy goth clubs together. He was always one of the loveliest and most laid back guys you could meet.
I've spoken to his partner, Gail, and she asked me to let you all know as he loved this place and the people here, and I know many of you have chatted to him over the years. He was genuinely really excited about the rearranged live European dates and recovering so he could travel over to the mainland to see them, and to meet some of you folks.
I'm going to miss him horribly.
RIP Sam.

Heartland is a little community. I'm very grateful that I've met some lovely people through this forum. The ones you haven't met in the flesh you get to know and can have friendly banter and is still a shock when you hear the dreadful news of someone's passing

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"
