Where does this expression come from please? I think I've only ever seen it on a shirt.
Thank you.
Jesus Loves The Sisters
Always thought it originally was Jesus Loves The Stooges. But I could be wrong...And Google tells me I'm not... https://stoogesforum.forumotion.com/f1- ... he-stooges

Isn't it etched into the runout groove on one of the early singles? Alice 12" IIRC
Edit to add: which ties in with "Jesus Loves The Stooges" because of 1969

The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.

Now this makes sense, especially after I found this thread - https://www.myheartland.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=894 which includes
"
Alice 12"
im westen nichts neues – jesus loves the sisters, mein irisch kind, wo weilest du?
for Spiggy (foreign field)
"
And googling "mein irisch kind, wo weilest du?" we come up with a line from The Wasteland which translates as my "Irish child, where are you?"
I always thought the person who did the mastering scratched in run off messages but this seems very close to Von. Did he master these?
( I am a bit bored at home with time on my hands, yes)
Chucking another log on

"Im Westen Nichts Neues" is the original German title for "All Quiet On The Western Front" by the way.
Yes I think they're "Porky Prime Cuts" but it seems very likely that Eldritch had input, given the content.

Jesus Loves The Stooges is the name of the last track on the 1980 Iggy And The Stooges Album "I'm Sick Of You" . it's an odd one but its worth listening to all the way through -once at least- for the fabulous piano if nothing else.abridged wrote: ↑03 Aug 2021, 18:37 Always thought it originally was Jesus Loves The Stooges. Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"
