Tried to get the rims when glowing, failed.

Someone buy Dylan a new wireless pack, he spent most of Marian standing around looking confused.
Much tighter tho Von was prone to get on the offbeat which takes some doing!
New songs were pretty much flawless, just not enough of them.

The atmosphere tonight was very much, “it’s party time!”

I took a turn Dylan-side, next to Eva and Julia, who did at least as good a job protecting our space as the two Texan men did last night. Things got bouncing.

More and Ribbons were solid to my ears. I’m starting to really like the new treatments to old songs. I liked Flood II’s updates best, but Jeep/Det has a real appeal, too. In spots, they were arguably stronger.

I Will Call You is growing on me more and more and it was gritty and enjoyable tonight. Dominion was for the Americans, (and on Patriot Day) so of course it was exceptional and the USA gets full credit for that. Summer! I love hearing Summer live; it has that interesting weight and pacing to it. The lights and the smoke really compliment Summer in particular.

Speaking of lights, I loved the white light during Flood II and a few others. Kind of a black and white effect. Loved Black Sail. (Oh! And the highlights on Andrew’s sunglasses were great- catch a video if you haven’t already!)

I gather that something in the mix was off with neverland, but it didn’t distract me.

The absolute highlight of the set was Lucretia and I’ll store some of that energy to get through winter.

I had a large glass of red wine afterwards, and apparently that’s all it takes to obliterate me after I’ve been locked up for a year and a half. There was more I wanted to report, but I’ll sum up by saying that the shows have already been well worth the effort of getting here. (And that’s saying a lot!)

The band actually appeared to be enjoying themselves. What has happened to the old Von?

He has been thoroughly enjoying playing with his lights and mirrors - counting out the beats and measures with those talons, playing hide and seek..

They're meant to be YELLOW! I was very disappointed! *lmao*

Well there is a kind of hint in the lyrics to Summer, even I picked up on that one.

Has Von realised that there might be an opening for a "senior influencer" in the spectacles arena now that the saintly Jurgen has got his eyes lasered?

The OG 'Fat' Ronaldo or the slightly newer version with the taste for hookers (allegedly)?

I had a whale of a time. It lived up to what everyone said about Friday, and it was so damn good to be out again.
