Cool ... ... a nice long interview and quite informative with a pretty selection of photos documenting the flow of the times ... ...

I would love to hear Von on why he never went anywhere with the 1995 demos. The obvious answers were (a) he thought they sucked; (b) he'd changed his mind about whether the broad masses were really hankering for an Eldritch/Marx collaboration; (b) he'd started writing with Pearson by then and was more enthusiastic.

From what I gather from old interviews he says he never intended to do it and didn’t ask for any demos. Well not in so many words, but that was my interpretation. I remember a Brazilian journalist saying he was supposedly working again with Gary Marx, whereas he replied something like “supposedly is the key word. Not supposed by me.”H. I don't think he realises how many people would fall over themselves to give him money, blood or their firstborn for that jokey line-up he quips about.

I have to say, he’s a class act. Even when he’s given the opportunity to slag off Von, he doesn’t do so. In my beloved Texas, I think we’d call him a “hoss.”

a great interview. made me laugh out loud a few times . one of the many things i love about Mark/Gary is there is no bitterness or backbiting. a truly decent bloke.
