Didn't someone try to take them during one of the 1985 US shows, prompting a colossal hissy fit and subsequent abandonment of the gig?
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

This was Mon, 03-Jun-1985: Chicago - USA - Cabaret Metro. An audience recording does exist but I'm not 100% sure I have it. See the page on the sisterswiki.org for details for anyone who doesn't know, I don't know if you do

i''m told that at one of the 1984 leicester gigs -i wasnt there- someone actually nicked them off him but he got them back. and i think i read that at the 10th birthday gig in Leeds he actually took them off so the fans could see him. having seen him a couple of times pre-gig wearing clear prescription glasses i can say he looks less like eldritch in those than you would think.
