Still waiting for some worthwhile concert tickets to snaffle, but in the meantime, Saturday off-duty trip to Head Of Steam in Headingley for some amazing company, perfect selection of grog (full range of Belgian Trappist stuff AND pints of Motorhead Road Crew), excellent ambience (the pub skillfully avoids the fancy-dress nightmare-masses by not showing the football or any sport, (doubley helpful when you return home to find your team have been hammered 4-0 by Brighton ffs)), nice food and just all round chill almost holiday-like Belgianesque vibes. In Headingley. Wonderful.

The line-up for Whitby April 2023 starting to look more than decent. NMA. Rose of Avalanche, Ist Ist, Cold Cave and Nosferatu announced so far. Could be another weekend ticket.

So, it looks like, for a bunch of ultimately good (albeit stressful) reasons, I won't be making it to Luxembourg this summer. Does anyone here want the tickets? If not, I'll put them up on the EN facebook group.sultan2075 wrote: ↑12 Apr 2022, 20:42 I’ve still got tickets to see Neubauten in Luxembourg this summer, hopefully on the way to visit my father-in-law in Vilnius. Both have been postponed continually since Covid.

If there are any goths here get a chance to see Bauhaus- go see them! Saw them in San Francisco on WGD. Still have the great gig buzz.

Love them, see them every time they play somewhere reasonably close, but ain‘t no Goth.
Got tickets for Berlin this summer. And I fully second the recommendation. They still sound soooo good.

New Model Army - Leeds Academy - 10th Sept
(some very metal festival g*th night thing)
New Model Army - Manchestah Ritz - 3rd Dec
Seriously considering t'Mish at either York or Sheffield, provided they don't do the 'jazz odyssey' version of Wasteland again.

Should I go to Hamburg on hols?
I don't wanna live like I don't mind
Hamburg is a very nice city indeed, but it will hardly keep you busy for all of a week to see all noteworthy sights. Maybe rent a car once you have seen the best bits there and go north to Husum for a few days. Husum is a rather small yet charismatic town with loads of opportunities to have good munch and strolls on the coast. Other very nice North Sea towns are Büsum and St. Peter-Ording. Boat trips to Helgoland to go bird watching are a good way of enternaiment there, too.
But check in advance if you can find accomodation, the North Sea towns are very busy during the holiday seasons and it may become difficult to find a place to stay on short notice.
Definitely
A good idea in general, the German North Sea coast is great for holidays!

Nearly The Prodigy at Leeds Academy in a coupla weeks, but 60 odd quid a tkt on resale was just too expensive for two, and work the following day didn't appeal either. Ah well, sure the shows will be hot as hell and next chance we get will be the arena or a festival, such is life.
Still, soon be off to Head Of Steam in Headingley and Northern Guitar Centre Bar, Howl Bar, etc in town on forthcoming days off. Got our eyes on July's Back To Basics too, probably the next best thing to there being no Sisters UK festivals this summer.
