Evening! Here we are, just after the Carabao Cup wins/defeats/draw, and the Champions' League draw. Three GWs in and the table is not what we're used to, which may or may not be a good thing
Quick welcome , then, as I'm covid brained right now. Bah. The cat is also on my keyboard.
Saturday 27 August 2022
Southampton 12:30 Man Utd Utd woke up a bit against their Red rivals, but was it just for a special occasion? Will the new boy play?
UK - BT Sport
Brentford 15:00 Everton 17th v 8th, not necessarily in that order. Everton really struggling with injury, but Toney isn't.
Brighton 15:00 Leeds Leeds were top for a short while last GW. Both wanting to make hay whilst the sun shines
Chelsea 15:00 Leicester If Leicester don't get a shift on, they'll still be in the relegation zone at Christmas. And that there Chelsea need to sort it too.
Liverpool 15:00 Bournemouth Bournemouth had to go to penalties to beat the mighty Canaries in the Cup on Tuesday. Liverpool - well, oh dear. There's only so much unusual a girl can take.
Man City 15:00 Crystal Palace Palace are looking goood right now. They could easily give City a run for their money.
Arsenal 17:30 Fulham I expect Arsenal to win, but Fulham won't make it easy at all. Mitrovic a good buy for those who have him.
UK - Sky Sports
Sunday 28 August 2022
Aston Villa 14:00 West Ham Hammers at the bottom? What?
Wolves 14:00 Newcastle Wolves, I think, may be in trouble this season. Toon have bought wisely and well.
UK - Sky Sports
Nott'm Forest 16:30 Spurs I quite like Forest, who had spent the most in the market, but they're playing my team so that's the end of them.
UK - Sky Sports
Good luck everyone!
Special mentions this week to Ellen White and Jill Scott, who have retired from international football. It's not only the young girls who wish they were like them.

It certainly doesn't, Dave! No matter how many seasons we've tried... All part of the 'fun'

Okey dokey, quick turnaround as there's only one day off between one GW and the next. I'll have only just finished this one before my next one pops up! The Premier League went bananas this week, with no one knowing wtf at any given point on Saturday. The table looks like someone randomly tipped out a bga of names, and it was either grinning or grimacing.
Southampton 0-1 Man Utd A bit of new boy and a lot of Fernandes. Utd finally got a bit of consistency going, but De Gea got the final bonus point so they didn't get it completely their way.
Brentford 1-1 Everton Everton led with that wanted man Gordon, but Brentford have a habit of pulling teams back down to earth.
Brighton 1-0 Leeds Not yer greatest game, was it?
Chelsea 2-1 Leicester Leicester firmly on the bottom even with Vardy's contribution, but Sterling looking right at home now. Could have had more. Gallagher a bit silly.
Liverpool 9-0 Bournemouth Never write off Liverpool. I could write an essay about this one. Bournemouth completely shellshocked. Liverpool's story was of one great scorer, several not quite so usual ones, and the Salah's that got away. Easily could have been 12.
Man City 4-2 Crystal Palace Stoness own goal started what looked to be a major upset - which it would have been if Palace's third had stood. Perfectly good goal. But then, Haaland got bored.
Arsenal 2-1 Fulham Staying on course, the Gooners, but having two Gabriels got me excited for points I didn't get!
Aston Villa 0-1 West Ham Bit better from West Ham with the result, but Fabianski's bonus points again tells a tale.
Wolves 1-1 Newcastle Lots of saves, Saint-Maximan finally off the mark, and a really much needed point or Wolves. Buy a striker!
Nott'm Forest 0-2 Spurs HARRY KAAAAAAAAANE! Got a bit niggly. Goalie played a blinder, not just that penalty save from Kane. Not the best game.
The table looks like this:
BB&S already 300 points ahead (as usual), come on guys!
The Yellow Jersey sits on Dynamo Salah (ironic, this week) for a change
And the Big Shout Out goes to Real SoSoBad with 83.
Over in the H2H things look slightly better in as much as IGM's The Clash Athletic holds the Crown:
Run and check for injuries/Haalands/Captains before tomorrow!
