Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.
^^^ adding to the last comments about bringing the loons out and immature people....
welcome to the wonderful world of the internet where every Tom, dick and Harry can write what they like. yet these are usually from the generation that is sensitive about anything and everything that is said or done these days and any form of respect is no where in reach.
don't let it get to you. shrug it off just the way the artists do.

That was terrible. I had friends there last night. One of whom is a Siouxsie freak so they were most upset at missing out.
On the plus side they are safe which is probably more important.
Edit: I just learnt it's been re-scheduled for tonight
I didn’t see any actual lightening. Had to go home so will miss the rescheduled Gary Numan (who was excellent last night), Iggy (shirtless & also great) & the goth mother.
Even less chance of today, so it should be a fantastic evening.
to be honest all the fuss about this tour might mean something to me if it was "...And The Banshees" no mr severin no care.
EDIT: as Eldritch once remarked to me in conversation the best rhythm section in post punk ruined by a screeching harridan. i dont agree about Sioux being a harridan -shes a Goddess- but hes right about that rhythm section.*

Much as I would love The Banshees, I'll happily settle for Siouxsie..... especially as I've just managed to get a re-sale seated ticket for Glasgow
I have seen The Sisters at The Paradiso. I will die happy

Yes Siouxsie looks older now - that's life! The alternative is the Madonna route that thank God she didn't take. If it was acceptable for Cohen and Bowie to grow old naturally in public, remaining as performers with age informing their art then why not Siouxsie? I think it's great to see Siouxsie do this, wrinkles and all. Siouxsie's playground has always been the nasty truths about the human condition and aging is perhaps the worst of them. Who better than her to tackle it?

Well done! I'm also going to the Glasgow gig.

It actually feels quite surreal to think I'll be seeing Siouxsie in a few weeks!
Interested to see if the audience is a mix of ages. I first saw SATB in 1981.... so I'm definitely at the "mature" end of the age scale

Saw The Creatures on the Boomerang and Anima Animus tours and The Banshees on The Rapture tour although I became a fan much earlier, between Through The Looking Glass and Peepshow. After the Anima Animus gig at Glasgow King Tuts, I was lucky enough to have a chat with Budgie (and get him to autograph my ticket.) Really nice guy. I asked him if Her Majesty was also going to come down to meet us and he said "No, she's too cold." Read into that what you will.
Well, just back home from seeing her at the Glasgow gig and she was magnificent. On top form throughout. Her voice held up through the performance way better than it would have, say, fifteen years ago and she was clearly enjoying herself loads. She just radiated this great sense of happiness about the occasion to the crowd and we all had a ball, gentle rain notwithstanding. Lots of funny between-songs quips. All in all, top nite out.

She was utterly fabulous, mesmerising! I hardly took any photos and the ones i did take aren't great.
Her voice was way better than I was expecting, tho I wasn't remotely bothered how she sounded anyway.
I had never been to the Bandstand before...what a lovely little venue
