The dude who made the DDOI video above, Linkeyes, has the full show up, separated into individual songs

Looks like Lyon is this year's Milan 2022, in terms of number of different full video recordings

They sounded superb in Europe 2022 spring tour too, at least on videos and audio recordings. One pissed-up gig in Antwerp excepted
Thanks for the hint! Damn, they sound good. Not sure about the acoustic guitar on Genevieve, and it just doesn't make sense to me on IWCY, but yeah, here's our favorite little band, starting a tour, falling apart on that tour, and reinvent themselves on that same tour. First Sisters tour destined to be made into a film. I'll stop saying tour now and start hoping I'll catch a ticket for Wiesbaden.Planet Dave wrote: ↑18 Oct 2023, 17:59 Looking forward to it, in the meantime, happy holiday Pascal![]()

I don't really feel like it has to do with Dylan, weren't there a lot of great sounding shows on the last tours with him too? Actually a lot of people were thinking they sounded better than they did in ages like Maastricht I think Andrew was maybe even clearer than the recent videos.
Yeah that's fair, it was pretty good on 2022, it was only on 2023 that it started to become a mess.lilac wrote: ↑18 Oct 2023, 20:01I don't really feel like it has to do with Dylan, weren't there a lot of great sounding shows on the last tours with him too? Or maybe it's just my ears, who knows and Kai is killing it too for sure
If you mean the sound improvement specifically compared to the US tour this year, it can most likely be explained by the band using in-house equipment and I think in-house mixing desk engineers. They take barely any kit with them to the US. So says Von in interviews, I can't vouch for any of that personally. It certainly sounded like they were being mixed by people who didn't know how best to deal with very quiet 'lead' vocals.dubler6 wrote: ↑18 Oct 2023, 19:44Thank you for the heads up on the Linkeyes videos. I’m bewildered on the overall sound improvement, but will not complain.
Hope that they sound this great when they return to the States next year.
Sad enough. They didn't have their full gear with them in the States, IIRC ... but still ...Husek wrote: ↑18 Oct 2023, 20:05Yeah that's fair, it was pretty good on 2022, it was only on 2023 that it started to become a mess.lilac wrote: ↑18 Oct 2023, 20:01I don't really feel like it has to do with Dylan, weren't there a lot of great sounding shows on the last tours with him too? Nah I don't think it's Dylan's fault, if anything the fact he was NOT there, made the Soundengineer revisit his settings and fix whatever the hell was going onBeing645 wrote: ↑18 Oct 2023, 20:15Sad enough. And they had started to go on like this in London ...... Anyway, I wouldn't think it was because of Dylan.
Only with his departure, they had to take the challenge .....

I really miss Dylan and loved his contribution to the band. The show that I attended in San Francisco earlier this year was awesome, both visually and audibly. “Here” is an instant classic Sisters tune in my opinion and I’m sure it’s mainly a Dylan’s musical composition. This one was begging for a Jim Steinman collaboration.Planet Dave wrote: ↑18 Oct 2023, 20:09If you mean the sound improvement specifically compared to the US tour this year, it can most likely be explained by the band using in-house equipment and I think in-house mixing desk engineers. There's definitely a different overall sound with Kai on rhythm, of course, and it seems like it suits The Sisters very well, but I don't for one second buy into the myth that they always sounded shyte with Dylan, last year's spring euro tour and summer festival recordings blow that nonsense outta the water.
Most importantly, I hope they do tour the US again next year, for you guys' sakes, and I hope they can fit as much activity as possible around Kai's existing plans with Espirit D'Air and whatever else he gets up to. We shall see.
