'HERE'. The successor to 'Paint My Name in Black and Gold'

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Considering how excited I was to read Paint My Name In Black and Gold, I can't fully explain why I then left it on my bookshelf for two years before reading it. (Insert story about the genuine sadness involved with becoming a very devoted Sisters fan pretty much exactly when they stopped releasing new music - but no-one needs that psychoanalysis). Anyway, buoyed by the knowledge that Here is going to appear at some point, I finally read PMNIBAG over Xmas. And what a wonderful book it is. I learned so much. So, duly pledged for Here - can't wait.
Chris

I've heard today that Unbound have gone into administration. Hope Mark is okay, and hope the book surfaces one way or another.

From their website

Boundless
Unbound has entered Administration following financial challenges. Allister Manson & Charles Turner of Opus Restructuring LLP were appointed Administrators of the Company on Monday, 10 March. The business and certain key assets have now been acquired in a pre-packaged sale by Boundless Publishing Group, ensuring continuity for authors and employees.

As part of the acquisition, Boundless has secured Unbound’s intellectual property, ongoing customer and supplier relationships and publishing contracts, digital assets, and goodwill associated with brands such as Unbound, Neem Tree Press and Boundless Magazine. The new owners have also retained all existing Company employees.

Boundless looks forward to supporting Unbound’s vibrant community of writers and readers. Boundless will be moving forward with the majority of the Unbound projects you have supported; please check back at the end of March when our new website will be live and you will have access to your account and order status.

I really hope that Mark is okay as well, as Here is a fascinating story that has to be published. Here's sending you all the best of luck that we hear some good news on this front...

Hoping Mark is OK - sounds a bit rubbish (really hope he can get the book published via this new phoenix company) : (

Sorry to sound mercenary in light of that, but what do people think happens to the dosh we've all paid upfront via pledges? Do we think new company Boundless will honour them?
