ok, i've edit ATG's original post to remove the large "bum cleavage" photo.
the small "donkey" one i can live with.
fyi: the basic rule of thumb is "would i feel like cringing if my boss walked past while this was on my monitor?"
and further to that, i would add "would i get the sack if my boss saw me looking at that on company time?"
all clear? good.
also, for the record, i'm not a big fan of large images embedded in the page. small ones such as the "donkey" one above is fine, but anything much bigger than that (you listening big si? ) and there's a good chance i'm going to edit your post and remove the IMG tags around it.
as i've said many time before: post links to whatever images you want. if it's at all risque then include a warning. otherwise, please only embed images (ie: use that bloody IMG tag) if its a small image, or if its not going to raise one's employer's eyebrows (or blood pressure).
i look at this place at work. as i know a lot of you here do. please consider this. if an image could well attract attention when viewed in an office/workplace environment then DONT EMBED IT IN THE F*CKING PAGE.
pretty obvious really. please consider it, otherwise i'll be forced to disable the IMG embedding tag altogether.
i don't really see any point in locking the thread, but neither do i see any point in discussing this any further, here or elsewhere.
thank you

why not just disable it anyway quiffy? i've never really seen the point of embedding images anyway.Quiff Boy wrote:please consider it, otherwise i'll be forced to disable the IMG embedding tag altogether.
and while we're on the subject of nsfw material: there's a few avatars around that could cause a bit of bother too, hojyuu-obi i'm looking at you...

The IMG tag could as well be disabled AFAIC, the URL tag works as good as the IMG one.
But if you take offense by hoyjuu-obi's avatar, you can as well delete half of the avatars on the board (including mine an BeeP's), and three-quarters of the Gallery. Oops, I forgot...mebbe you are American? Then I can understand, it's all in the genes

izzy, izzy, izzy... you really are missing the point here. i am very difficult to offend and, from the comfort of my own home, cannot recall ever being offended by anything posted here. however, my boss and my employer's i.t. department could very well take offence at some of the images used as avatars here. as you rightly point out, that's not limited to hoyjuu-obi that was just one example and i could have used yourself or black planet instead.
the obvious answer is for me (and quiffy and anyone else who feels that such images could put them at risk of feeling the wrath of their employer) not to look at this site whilst at work but why is it so difficult for people to refrain from using images which might be considered "risque" by the average employer? the gallery is a different matter as (iirc) all images there are pre-approved by the quiffster.
me? american? how dare you! i've issued writs for libel for marks less defamatory than that!Oops, I forgot...mebbe you are American? Then I can understand, it's all in the genes
