Yup, the Cult are one of the few bands not to appear in my various collections.

Never a big Stones fan (beyond a couple of songs) and always thought Oasis weren't worth the vinyl. Oh and I remember being dreadfully disappointed by Metallica's "And Justice For All" when it hit my turntable.

Pearl Jam.

Tedious, angsty, proto-Emo sludge.
Thank you. I thought I was the only one who didn't "get" them!

Radiohead - The bends
Street spirit is a nice track but i never 'got' the rest of it

It seems to me current artists have to prove a lot more then for instance 70s bands before being acknowledged as a classic band. Which is different from being hyped as one by journalists and the record industry.

Led Zeppelin
Black Sabbath
Blur
Die Toten Hosen

Type O Negative: I really have to laugh everytime this guy starts "singing"

Does it mean we're more demanding now than we were then ? I don't think so. I rather think that for various reasons the talent pool was much deeper then. 8)

A LOT of nineties stuff, i really HATE the 90s. Dinosaur, nirvana etc.

but also, i never got Radiohead, The Melvins, Sonic Youth and Liars, The Doors, Tool indeed, then there's this new wave of apres 2000 The *s bands that never did it for me, i definitely do not like the peppers and oasis. And any band that refers to 'gothic' as an influence.

The biggest shame is i guess... Joy Division. I respect it and see its importance but i simply do not like it.

Reggae and dub is a crime to me, BUT what i really really hate as a musical genre is Drum n Bass. I don;t respect it, don't see the importance and it's not only simply 'not liking' but hating it with all my heart and soul.

Nicely done!

Which reminds me, someone tried to introduce me to Eno recently. The jury's still out on that one.

Skeletal Family - hard to believe such piffle spawned a supergroup - my three year old son summed it up last night by saying "what's that - is it a cat" whilst I gave the CD one last spin before it goes on ebay. Utter pish...

Lets face it,the cd is overated. It was ok in the early days, but when fame and fortune came along out went the old quality control and it went for mass market appeal..yes I know it's another one of those
"I liked it before it was famous " posts but I honestly believe it's best years have past.

In my defence I have only bought one CD and the sound quality is the worst of any studio album I have ever bought!

As I said to the wife..... "don't cut me off!"

Has anyone mentioned Meatloaf yet? Well, it's worth a second mention if they have.
Kene and their ilk... Kene were so utterly sh!t when I saw them supporting the Cure that I put my walkman on. And a Kene fan asked me to turn it down :|
Any band with a girl in who buys her shoes in Primark.
Any band that get off the stage mid-tune and try to drag people onto the dancefloor. Especially when it's 7pm, there's only five people there anyway and the band in question are a load of bleepy grunty gothw@nk. And their only fan was some sort of robot who later tried to eat the singer - possibly because he looked like asparagus with gangrene.
Greek folk music has started to really grate on me.
Tori Amos is just... Jesus. No. Her and anyone like her.
Most Christian Death - what IS the bloody fuss about?! Perhaps two good songs and a load of twaddle.
OhYeah - "Paddy-Punk" those wacky American kids pretending to be irish. Why? Proper Irish music is bad enough (Don't get me started on "mountains of mourne" - ESPECIALLY the bloody pan-pipe version...) but then you add bratty american punk to it - WHY?!
And the Levellers. Feck @rse cvnt b@stardy cr@p.
