I always thought Eleven Shadows' take on "Afterhours" very good, but I cannot find a YouTube linky...
It was on a Sissies Tribute somewhere, one of those otherwise terrible Cleopatra recordings IIRC...
Also always liked The Shroud's version of Alice but that's each to his/her own I guess

Ja, I've heard it. The Supersuckers' version is better, though. In fact, I think it's one of the hands-down best TSOM covers I've ever heard.

Sisters cover band not using a drum machine. Nice one!
A sisters cover band founded by a drum school owner is the true irony
sultan2075 wrote:The ladies are definitely the best part--not in a sexist way, but in that they're the most competent members of the band.
Sisters bass lines need a pick. Period. And the singer is simply bad.
I agree with the pick plus some more FX to the guitar that sounded very dry. The singer - I know he's quitting due to a lack of time but TBH after watching other stuff every now or then on YT I don't see much headroom for improvements (OK, maybe fashion-wise).

This is that Artaud Seth guy who is now the main man behind the Merciful Nuns whose music is about as original as their name. Must be a pretty hardcore fan to have devoted twenty years of his life to mimicking the Girls' sound so shamelessly, and fairly rich/thick-skinned too to keep going in the face of complete disinterest ...

Nobody's picked This Corrosion by Unheilig? How about the Aiboforcen cover of Alice. Both are electro with cheesy vocals but not bad, better than most in my opinion.

Because there's just one good electro Sisters cover (apart from the Cellulloide cover) and that's :
Black Planet - Automatic Head Detonator

Oh yes, absolutely. One of the very few good TSOM covers.

As far as I'm concerned, the Nun are never off topic. Did their own thing whilst simultaneously showcasing some seriously cool influences, great vocal stylings, groovy guitars, effortlessly iconic ... a bit like a certain other band.

A cover of a cover
Well it's a pleasure to watch
and it actually doesn't hurt to listen
I have to set up a proxy to watch the other one thanks to:
Unfortunately, this video is not available in Germany because it may contain music for which GEMA has not granted the respective music rights.
Sorry about that.
edit: got it - quite a pathetic overkill

I like the disclaimer - "no copyright infringement intended - this is art". Not that I'm suggesting that you click the link for the free download of your (cough) art, you understand.
As
Lucretia remains the most viewed Sisters clip on YouTube, I could even see this being a crossover hit ...

Dunno if this has been mentioned before, but I was looking for something on some old cd's today and found this from 2003. It's quite nice.
