Well, that would explain it. That's a shame, though: I bet he could have done something really neat with it if he'd been familiar with it.

As of the subject of covers, I have to say that I love the Marian cover by Nouvelle Vague and (I know I'm gonna be crucified by saying this...) Cradle of Filth's No Time to Cry.
