I forgot about the Darkside Cowboys cover of FALAA. I wouldn't call it good, exactly, but it's so ludicrously, stupidly, madly over the top that it charms me nonetheless, and I quite like it. While not being good. At all.

It's that one with two vocals at the same time? and in the last chorus, while "First and last and Always" was sing the another vocal starts so sign "Marian, Only you can, make this red skies disappear" ?

Yeah. I don't seem to have a copy of it at the moment, though! I seem to recall a bit of ridiculous rapping, too. And didn't they break into a Sex Pistols tune partway through the song? As I said, not exactly good, but definitely charming in a very strange way.

I Have this in my iphone(in fact i have 5 tributes to the sisters there).
Yes they use a sex pistol riff followed by a screaming RIGHT NOW!
and then starts the song ( i'm not sure, but i think there's some extra lyrics at some point too).
It's pretty strange, and there's a little touch of Rap in some points.
I Prefer Foetus version, it's pretty curious:

I love pretty much everything Jim Foetus does, but I thought the FALAA cover wasn't up to his usual standards, actually.

One of the things I love about the Darkside Cowboys cover is that I can imagine the entire band recording this ridiculous arrangement with deliriously stupid grins on their faces. It just sounds like they're having a lot of fun.

I generally approve, but the vocals are a weak point (though not always).

It beats the hell out of 98.9% of TSOM covers though.

edit: the more I listen to it, the more I like it, and the less I dislike the vocals.

edit 2: I've listened to the other songs from the same 7-inch on youtube and I really like them. It's a shame I can't get it on iTunes.

Dammit, I thought that was a Nouvelle Vague song and Eldritch had been seduced into covering the bosa nova classic in the recent shows. I really must brush up on my back catalogue :-)

I agree with Ozpat. Best Sisters cover by a long way and I suspect one of the few that Eldrith himself might actually like.

There is Walk Away by Paradise Lost: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPjVvBmtWWk

And then there is 1959 by Dreadful Shadows: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2aPHzNkQSM
If you can call it a cover at all. 1959 is noramally just some piano with a little bit of singing. Dreadful Shadows turned into a 'real' song with drums, guitars and stuff. ETA: Sounds quality isn't the greatest. I have the track as part of a tribute-to-the-Sisters CD ('Monochrome'), and it sounds significantly better.

And asking for bad covers of Sisters songs is like shooting fish in a barrel.

Austrian extreme Metal band Cadaverous Condition did "Marian" in 1993, maybe the first Metal band doing a Sisters cover on record?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geYE4oPn92U

Pathetic German band Crematory did "Temple Of Love" in 1997.
Terrible keyboards!!

Ugh. That's the ass-end of awful. It's utterly pedestrian until the vocals start, but it gets real bad real quick.
