THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

well you'd hardly use quilted velvet for those lyrics would you
Isn't a Lee Hazlewood fan...?
Some quilted velvet on me bum
Smoke some drugs and have some fun
And maybe tell you 'bout Fatpat
And how she gave me grief
You're on a roll today, Mr. Clean.

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.
I met the dude by the bar at one gig in Vancouver. He is a nice person, respectful and somewhat mysterious, was probably all the surrounding goffs that made him uncomfortable, but he had his hands full of drinks and actually stopped to give me a hand shake and smile. God he's short, I totally would have missed hime if I had not been on my toes. But the baldness made it easy as well.

so he have a sister....
he was wise to hide her from me. now his failure is complete.
if he will not turn to the dark side... then perhaps she will...
I just want to add, now that the more intellectual aspects have been discussed, that Mr. Eldritch seemed just of average English statue when I saw him. I don't know how that rumour that he was really really short came into the world but it's not true. Maybe it was Weebles who started the whole thing
