@ andy-
yay! big feet.size 10 large in para boots, size 11 in new rocks.
gets lonely in the land of the big foot up here.weird havning feet that make most of my male friends feel inadequate.

makes buying anything remotely feminine in the footware dept nigh on impossible.
took a year of looking into custom made thigh boots before i was told to try the cheaper alternative-the transvestite market.never looked back since.made some great friends in that scene too.

I looked into purchasing "New Rock" boots but found that a cost of, at least £130.00 was not good.

A local shoe shop can supply "Safety Boots" (black, para, long lasting) - for around £25.00 which is much more in my fiscal policy!

BTW in response to your Avatar tag - I would rather be in Neverwhere!

No, no I didn't.
I think it's time to stop with the 'Jim's pants' jokes. I'm starting to feel sorry for the poor boy. Wait...Jim's 6'1"? Nevermind then. He deserves to suffer.

@ Andy.T.Goth-took me years to find a quality pair of paras.never been one for the brand spankers ones.i always opt for something with some history in them.think my current pair had only one prior owner, sergent somethingorother.
they look fantastic, seem to last longer than DM's,and can take a beating and still polish up well enough to wear them to job interviews, weddings, holy communions, blessings etc etc.

as for new rocks, yeah i'd agree they are expensive.although www.cloggs.co.uk have always been cheap compared with most if its the new you prefer.

drop some subtle hints to Mrs goth, the shops will be getting out the tinsel in a matter of weeks from now( :roll ).

@ SDH :notworthy: - Having spent many a year(s) trying to find shoe shops which sell sizes larger than 11  - I always keep an order on hold for a pair on new "Safety Boots"!

I have bought "Army and Navy Surplus" in the past but have had trouble getting size 13 even then!

I have thought of getting some decent "Trainers" but feel that I will look an idiot in them - and I dont even play "Basketball" !

@ Andy.t.Goth-
hmm,had a close friend not too long ago who has size 15 feet, and i remember the troubles he had with socks and footwear.i know all he had was DM's who apparently do make them thatbig and beyond that too,but from what i understodd it meant special orders and extra£££££.im not even sure new rocks go up to a 13 either.

as for trainers,i had some once but the trouble was that they dont look good or even passable with the average "goth type persons"wardrobe.i might as well have been wandering around in a pair of comedy clown shoes for how at odds they seemed with the rest of my attire.
too springy and i missed the 1 3/4 " new rock soles.

big boots forever!! :D

tee hee. I always try to find shoes with farily thin soles. If I had to wear thick soled shoes I'd bang my head going through doorways. It's a near miss even when I'm not wearing shoes!

Which reminds me of calling for a friend up behind the Hyde Park pub, then watching him attempt to negotiate going downhill on a cobbled street wearing his cuban high heels. Messy. It's a wonder we ever got anywhere really...
