Ever been a Goth?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I totally agree with the Everyday/Special Nite Out "look" - I dont have 20+ Sisters T-Shirts (and other "Goff" bands too!) for no reason!

Plus - Leather Trousers / Jackets will never go out of fashion (or is that anti-fashion!)

I used to have hair akin to QB :eek: - In the early 80's The Cures bassist Simon Gallup had BIG hair - I had the same for about 3 years - I would now but my age and genetics are against me! Now my hair is long (a'la Von 90) but thin at the front - to much Tying Back / Crimping / Dying Black / Backcombing etc etc :-)

Also I am known as "Andy The Goth" to BE anything else - at least in Their eyes! :eek:

I tried stopping dying my hair black, but the grey is just too embarrasing! :oops: At least I haven't got "more face to wash" as the saying goes. (Yet...)

But I have never drawn cobwebs on my face :D

Heh, I once lived in a little village just outside Durham, too. Ushaw Moor. If you know the area, you'll know that was a cross to bear, too. Think 'pit village after pit closure'. My excuse was I was a student and it was VERY cheap. The landlord was almost paying us to live there, and some months forgot to cash our rent cheques at all. The house (over said pit?) had such bad subsidence that it was hard to use a frying-pan. But I tell you what, we were lucky then! It also meant I had money to spend on dodgy gothesque jewellery in Durham indoor market. Nice.

I used to have my Jacket painted with the Body And Soul cover. Unfortunately due to cheap "off the market" quality of said jacket it started to fall apart after a couple of years of wearing it. Finally retired it 3 years after that. I pulled it out of the cupboard a couple of weeks ago for the first time in 7 or 8 years. Couldn't believe I used to wear something that tacky. I used to wonder why they called security in pretty much every shop me and my mates used to go into. It has now been perminately retired to the garbage. *sigh* end of an era... :roll: :cry:

Oh and I only did the makeup thing once. I was drunk. There are pictures. Luckily my friend is more embarrassed about being in the same pictures so they are hidden far far away!
