Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

HAl... you really DON'T want to know how they were planning to call themselves before Turbonegro. Believe me, Turbonegro is not that bad name, considering

Ok, you've convinced us.
Now what name were they planning?
Nazipenis. Glad they did not choose that one!!!
good greif...
What sort of music is it? If I see them at wasted, what are my chances of survival... given that I generally have a bad time with right-wing skinhead punks?

They are not skinheads/rightwing etc. They are sarcastic, cynical band, and they are taking a p**s out of everything. Their music is called deathpunk - very melodic, loud, fast, with great choruses - and it is the tighttest band ever. Bit motorhead/kiss/alice cooper but so much better!!! Lyrics - mostly very sexual. Doomie, if you are going to Wasted, go and see them (considering they are still playing, they have been offered another gig at the same date a few days ago).
so they're a comedy band, they will go down well in the land of HMHB

*shrug* Joy Division isn't exactly a socially-acceptable name. I guess if you go to even one level of complexity, it suddenly doesn't bother people.
Hell, The Sisters of Mercy? Prostitution and Religion? Frankly, I don't think you can get much sicker.
Don't listen to Turbonegro myself, but have kept an eye on their career, going long since dredging the Kerranged gutter.

Might have a look into it then... Providing they don't clash with Rev hammer
some TJ friends of mine travelling to the TURBO gigs in Leeds from Deutschland cannot find tickets online for the Cockpit show, is there an online shop for Cockpit events? London gigs are already sold-out and they don't want to travel up there and end up outside the gate! How likely is that the Leeds show will sell-out?
I'd reccommend you all to try! All My friends are Dead - great song from the new album (but City Of Satan is even better), Get It On and Pamparius are the best songs ever!!!
Thanks, Vicus, , are you addicted to them too?
I must be in the wrong place, they are not new.
A bad 80s Rock Band at best.

I am going to be there!!!! God, I may end up needing a new liver if I keep being a Jugend... Which is a VERY intense thing.
To stop annoying you folks with that band, I would like to inform you that I am going to move all my words of delight to another forum which is more appropriate!
no, don't .. i do it all the time with the Darkness.. shall i bore you about my visit to their high school last week to do a fanzine article? or all the gossip about justin's impending solo album?
