Right this is my Sisters Of Murphy story. back in the 90s somebody told me that The Sisters Of Mercy were playing this tiny little club in Leicester. i knew instantly it was bollocks because the girls were touring the 91 leg of the Tour Thing and were NOT playing venues smaller than arena size. a quick check proved this right (obviously) but there was a band on at the shed called the Sisters of Murphy. i expected a dubliners type band probably so didnt go. years later when i discovered the Smurphs -Ginger Paddys band- the muddle in my brain caused by 15 years of taking drugs for a living made me think "s**t! that band all those years ago wasnt some bog-trotting old persons band it was in fact the ONLY acceptable TSOM tribute act*.
