Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I'm in the mood for a little anger. This is a bit of a left turn for this forum.

3/4 of the way through my first listen, I like it a lot better than both ...Like Clockwork and Villains.

Original techno written performed and recorded live by my late big brother. inconsiderate bastard, leaving me to wipe his arse just like when he was alive.

Happened to watch Christine and the Queens on the Glastonbury coverage and was blown away. Literally, never heard her before. An extremely powerful performance, unlike anything else I've seen and great music.

I've linked an especially lovely song from the new album:

This new Swans album, The Beggar is all I've listened to since it dropped. Like most things under that name the last few years, it's not so much a collection of songs as it is a complete, cohesive album. I like it more than I liked leaving meaning.

The new album from Colter Wall, Little Songs

If you know his other work, this fits right in. It's good. Corralling the Blues is a fast favorite of mine:

Thanks for turning me on to them. I really like them.

I'm listening to the new PiL album, End of World, and really enjoying it so far. Lydon's voice has taken on a scratchiness as it has aged that I really like. Second (I think) single below:

I spent half a day watching their live sessions on YouTube.. Well worth a look. Stephanie's didgeridoo solos are something else.
Cheers.

Early Simple Minds Joy Division-inspired 'Reel to Real Cacophony'. It's been in my record collection for donkey's years but I've only just properly discovered it. If you like, say, early Banshees then I'd recommend this. Similar production, similar dark and moody vibe and also with the same kind of remarkable musical inventiveness, such as:
