everyone knew he needed sorting out! after the first Gulf war he should have been quietly removed from power, not assasinated or anything but just put out of harms way. He was not, US of A neeed HUGE ammounts of oil so they left him in power after liberating Kuwait knowing they would come back another time and feel even more (sanctimoniously) justified at another war!

Yes they do. You have never gone hungry have you? I bet if you were starving and living on the streets you would give it some thought. No, I'm not a father. But I've heard fathers whose sons or daughters have been murdered still speak out against the death penalty - like you said, it's a matter of opinion. There is no special insight gained by being in any particular relationship with a murder victim.

And, in order to help that, many Iraqis need answers to questions about what happened to their loved ones who disappeared in Saddam's regime. And those answers will only come by questioning Saddam. Killing him silences him forever, and leaves the survivors of his regime without the answers they so dearly deserve.

If I could try it out without the commitment and could just walk out if I didn't like it then I would be there. I have asked at a few jails if I could just try it but it's not allowed. There would also have to be a clause that I would only be the top person, no bottom for me. And on the bright side I would probably receive lots of oral sex and that I like the sound of ...nice. I keep thinking that maybe there should be an easier way like life in prison but a choice to off yourself if you so choose to. Like each prisoner if given a cyanide pill and at any time they could choose the time to end it all. I think that would be fair. Let them choose their own fate.

I am against the death sentence but I can understand he got it in a country where death penalties are given as he is guilty of a lot of crimes but then again...there are more out there who even remain unpunished because the US have no interest.

Like others here I think that a country which respects human rights must not have death penalty at all. But just as an example, imagine after WWII Adolf Hittler or Goebbels had survived to write memoires in which they would have had the chance to bring on their myths or even, after a 42 year sentence like Rudolf Hess. remind the public of their story. This will destabilize a nation. Especially one in a fragile equilibrium of powers which are only loosely held together by common borders. I remember the walkways and walls of houses got smeared with "Rache für Hess!" ("Revenge for Hess!") a lot when the twit had finally kicked the bucket. Had this been one of the bigger NS leaders, there might have been greater outrages. Them feckin´ nazis never give up..
